Brave Dragon huddled at the mouth of the cave, his little tail twitching with both excitement and fear. The unfamiliar chirping of birds and the whisper of the morning breeze made his heart race. Still, his eyes sparkled with curiosity, eager to see what lay beyond the safe shadows.
"The world is so big…and I am so small. But maybe, just maybe, there’s something wonderful waiting for me,"
Brave Dragon took a trembling step outside, his claws scraping the stone. Each new sound sent him darting back, but the sight of a golden butterfly landing nearby drew him forward once more.
"Hello, little butterfly. Are you scared too? Or are you brave because you know how beautiful the world can be?" He reached out carefully, watching the butterfly flutter up and away, leading him further from his cave.
Brave Dragon hesitated at the edge, his reflection rippling in the water. He wanted to see what lay on the other side but was afraid of slipping. Gathering his courage, he took a slow, shaky breath.
"If I stay here, I’ll never know what’s beyond. I’ll never see more butterflies or hear new songs," he whispered. With a determined leap, he bounded across the stones, heart pounding but spirit soaring when he made it safely.
Brave Dragon stood in awe, his fears momentarily forgotten as he watched a family of rabbits play beneath a blossoming tree. He edged closer, hoping not to frighten them.
"Hello, little friends. I’m sorry if I seem strange. I’m new to all of this, but I want to learn how to be brave like you," he said softly, and to his delight, the rabbits didn’t run—they watched him curiously, accepting his gentle presence.
Brave Dragon curled up in the soft grass, feeling proud of the day’s small victories. He realized that every new thing wasn't so scary once he faced it, and that his heart grew braver with each step.
"Maybe being brave doesn’t mean not being scared," he murmured, "Maybe it means trying anyway, because there’s so much beauty waiting to be found."
Brave Dragon rose to his feet, feeling the courage that had always lived inside him—now awake and eager.
"Tomorrow, I’ll explore even farther. I’m ready for the world now," he declared, and with a joyful flick of his tail, disappeared into the night, eager for the adventures yet to come.
