Rachel and Leo strolled along the park's scenic path, the soft crunch of gravel underfoot matching their rhythmic steps. Rachel glanced up at her brother, her eyes twinkling with mischief.
"I think it's my turn to carry you today," she declared boldly.
Leo chuckled, shaking his head in disbelief. "You? Carry me? You're joking, right?"
Rachel stood her ground, hands on her hips. "You carry me every day, Leo. It's time for a change. Besides, I'm stronger than I look," she insisted, her voice filled with determination.
Leo hesitated, glancing around the park. "But what if someone sees? Won't it look ridiculous?" he reasoned, though his curiosity was piqued.
Rachel leaned closer, her expression earnest. "Think of it as an adventure, Leo. Imagine the stories we can tell," she coaxed, her enthusiasm infectious.
Leo sighed, a small smile tugging at his lips. "Alright, alright. But if anyone asks, it was your idea," he relented, playfully poking her shoulder.
Rachel crouched down, and with a grunt of effort, she hoisted Leo onto her back. Though she stumbled a bit, she quickly found her balance, her determination unwavering.
"Wow, you're actually doing it!" Leo exclaimed, surprise mingling with admiration in his voice.
"Told you I could," Rachel replied, her steps steady as she carried him along the path.
Leo laughed heartily, the sound echoing through the park. "I feel like I'm flying," he shouted, spreading his arms wide.
Rachel grinned, feeling a sense of pride swell within her. "You're light as a feather, Leo," she declared triumphantly, her voice carrying the joy of their shared adventure.
Leo nudged Rachel with his elbow. "Maybe we should switch roles more often," he mused, a thoughtful look on his face.
Rachel nodded, a soft smile playing on her lips. "Every day can be an adventure if we want it to be," she replied, her eyes shining with the promise of future escapades.
The day in Central Park had turned out to be anything but ordinary, leaving the siblings with a cherished memory to hold onto.
