Carla bounced energetically in her seat as the car pulled up to her grandparents' house. Her eyes sparkled with excitement, taking in the winter wonderland before her. The cabin, warmly lit from within, promised cozy adventures and tales of yuletide delight.
Leo, her older cousin, was already outside, bundled in layers, ready to join her in snowy escapades.
"Leo, let's build the biggest snowman ever!"
Leo grinned, his cheeks rosy from the cold. "Only if you promise not to throw snowballs at me while we do it," he teased, helping Carla roll the snow into giant spheres.
Their laughter echoed across the glistening landscape as they crafted a snowman so grand it could almost touch the sky.
Grandma welcomed the children with open arms, dusting snowflakes from their hats. "Come in and warm up, my dears," she said, her voice as comforting as the hot cocoa she handed them.
Carla sipped her cocoa, feeling snug and content, while Leo recounted tales of Santa Claus Village, just a short sleigh ride away.
The next day, Carla and Leo marveled at the enchantment of Santa Claus Village, where every corner seemed to hold a touch of magic. They giggled with glee as they met elves, made wishes, and posted letters to Santa.
"Do you think Santa will really come?" Carla whispered, her eyes wide with wonder.
Carla lay in bed, listening for sleigh bells, her heart full of anticipation. Leo had told her stories of Santa's late-night visits, and she was determined to catch a glimpse.
Suddenly, the sound of soft footsteps reached her ears, and she held her breath, peeking through her lashes.
Santa himself stood there, placing gifts beneath the tree. His eyes twinkled as he noticed Carla watching.
"Merry Christmas, little one," he whispered, Carla could barely contain her excitement. As she drifted back to sleep, she knew she would remember this magical Christmas forever.
