Rina relished the warmth of the day, her ears twitching as she enjoyed her meal. The forest was her haven, a place where she felt safe and free. Little did she know, hidden behind a cluster of bushes, Fang the fox watched her intently, his stomach growling in anticipation. "This time, I will catch that rabbit," he thought, taking a careful step forward.
"Oh, Fang! You are here again?" Rina said, a playful smile on her face. Fang emerged from his hiding spot, his sharp teeth gleaming. "Yes, little rabbit! This time, you will not escape. I am very hungry, and you will be my dinner!" he declared with determination.
"Wait, Fang! Before you eat me, let’s play a game!" Rina proposed, her voice light and enticing. "A game? Why should I play a game with my food?" Fang questioned, intrigued by the suggestion. "If you win, I will not run away. You can eat me easily," she promised with a confident grin.
"Let’s have a jumping contest!" Rina announced. "If you jump higher, you win. If I jump higher, you must let me go." Fang laughed heartily, believing the game to be in his favor. "Hahaha! That is easy! Foxes are strong and can jump very high. I will win for sure!"
"Ha! Look at that! I jumped very high!" Fang boasted, sure of his victory. Rina nodded in agreement. "Wow! That was very good, Fang. Now, it is my turn!" she exclaimed. With a swift hop, she leapt onto an old tree stump and then sprang higher into the air. "Ta-da! I win!" she declared joyfully.
Fang blinked in surprise. "Wait a minute… that is not fair! You used the tree stump!" he protested. "You never said I could not use something to help me! A smart rabbit always finds a way!" Rina replied with a chuckle. Fang growled in frustration but acknowledged his defeat. "Fine! But next time, I will catch you!" he vowed as Rina darted back into the safety of the forest, always one step ahead.
