Aunt Hana, a cheerful woman with sparkling eyes and soft brown hair in a messy bun, stands beside the counter. With her is Max, her energetic little nephew with chubby cheeks and a mop of black hair, wearing an apron patterned with dancing bears.
"Are you ready to make some cookie magic today, Max?"
"Yes, Aunt Hana! I want to make the biggest cookie ever!"
Max grabs a wooden spoon, his eyes wide with excitement, while Aunt Hana pours flour into a big mixing bowl. Butter and sugar glisten in a small dish, ready to be mixed in.
"Can I stir, Aunt Hana? Please, please, please?"
"Of course! But let's do it together so the flour doesn't fly everywhere!"
Aunt Hana helps Max press a star-shaped cutter into the dough. The two laugh as some dough sticks to their fingers, leaving floury handprints on the table.
"Look! This one looks like a dancing bear!"
"That's perfect, Max. Let's make a whole parade of cookies."
Max squeezes a tube of blue icing, his tongue peeking out in concentration, while Aunt Hana adds a smiley face to a heart-shaped cookie. The kitchen smells sweet and delicious.
"I'm going to make this cookie sparkle extra bright for you, Aunt Hana!"
"Thank you, Max! It’s going to be the happiest cookie in the world!"
Max presses his nose to the oven window, giggling, while Aunt Hana sets a timer shaped like a smiling sun on the counter. They wait, holding hands, as the cookies rise and turn golden.
"I can't wait, Aunt Hana! Do you think the cookies are singing in the oven?"
"Maybe they are, Max! Maybe they're singing a cookie song just for us."
Max picks up his special sparkling cookie and takes a big bite, his eyes shining with joy. Aunt Hana smiles, sharing a cookie and a warm hug with her nephew.
"This is the best cookie day ever! Can we do it again soon?"
"Anytime you want, Cookie Chef Max! My kitchen is always open for you."
