Mother Kangaroo gazes down with loving eyes at her little joey, Cozy, who peeks out from the safety of her pouch. The world outside is vast and unknown, but inside the pouch, Cozy feels only warmth and comfort.
"Mother, your pouch is the coziest place in the world. I never want to leave,"
Mother Kangaroo[/@ch_1] gently lifts Cozy from her pouch into the soft morning light. The field glistens with dew, and far off, a few other young kangaroos can be seen hopping clumsily, watched over by their parents.]
"Cozy, every kangaroo must eventually learn to hop on their own," Mother Kangaroo says, her voice both tender and encouraging. Cozy nestles closer, his ears twitching with uncertainty.
"But why can't I just stay with you forever? The world feels so big without you,"
Mother Kangaroo[/@ch_1] crouches beside Cozy, wrapping him in a gentle embrace as the wind carries the scent of eucalyptus.]
"I will always be near, but you are ready to try. Sometimes, we have to be brave and take small steps. You can do it, my little one," she says, nuzzling him softly. With a reassuring smile, she gives Cozy a gentle push forward.
Cozy[/@ch_2]'s tiny feet as he tries to spring up. Around him, the field is alive with color—yellow blooms and fluttering butterflies—yet his hops are awkward and wobbly.]
"I can't do it, Mother! My legs just won't listen," he cries, frustration wrinkling his nose. Mother Kangaroo demonstrates, her powerful legs launching her in graceful arcs across the field.
"Watch me, Cozy. Bend your knees and push—just like this,"
Cozy[/@ch_2] practices, other joeys gather nearby, their eyes bright with encouragement. The sky is now a clear blue, and the sounds of laughter and cheering fill the air as the young kangaroos form a little audience.]
Sunny, a playful joey, hops closer. "Come on, Cozy! You can do it! We'll hop together!" With every attempt, Cozy grows stronger, his hops becoming less shaky. The support of his friends and the watchful eyes of his mother give him courage.
Cozy[/@ch_2] finally manages three smooth hops in a row. His face lights up with joy as he realizes he’s done it—he’s hopping on his own at last.]
"Mother, look! I did it! I really did it!" Mother Kangaroo beams with pride, her shadow stretching long beside him.
"I knew you could, Cozy. You have always had the strength inside you,"
Cozy[/@ch_2] finds himself spending more time exploring with his friends. The pouch is still there—a safe place when he needs comfort—but the world outside is no longer so frightening.]
Cozy turns back to his mother, his eyes shining with newfound confidence. "Thank you for believing in me, Mother. I think I'm ready to hop into the world now," he says, his voice filled with hope and excitement.
Mother Kangaroo nods, her heart full of pride as she watches him leap into the adventure that awaits.
