Cuca, a spirited three-year-old, skipped across the dewy grass, her eyes bright with excitement. Her black baby horse, Cornelia, neighed playfully, trotting alongside her. Nearby, Filipa, the baby hyena, stretched lazily in the morning sun.
"Let's start our avocado plantation!" Cuca declared with determination.
Cuca gripped the handle of a large bucket, her small hands struggling with the weight as she attempted to draw water. "Oh no, it's too heavy!" She exclaimed, her feet sliding towards the well.
Cornelia galloped to her aid, biting gently into Cuca's shirt to pull her back. Despite their efforts, the bucket remained stubbornly heavy.
Cuca called out urgently, "Filipa, we need your help!" The little hyena leaped from her resting spot, joining the effort by gripping Cuca's trousers. Together, they heaved and tugged until the bucket finally emerged from the well.
"We did it!" Cuca cheered, beaming at her friends.
Cuca raced back to the farmhouse, returning with avocado seeds provided by Wilma, her gentle Filipino nanny. They planted each seed with care, envisioning the grove that would soon take root.
Cornelia and Filipa watched, their eyes wide with curiosity.
Cuca, Cornelia, and Filipa positioned themselves behind the bucket. "On three, let's push!" Cuca instructed. With a collective effort, they tipped the bucket, sending a cascade of water cascading down the slight hill to nourish the seeds below.
The trio watched, satisfied as the ground drank deeply.
Cuca, Cornelia, and Filipa gathered the ripe avocados, filling baskets to the brim. Their laughter filled the air as they marveled at their bountiful harvest.
"Let's ask Wilma to make us a feast!" Cuca suggested eagerly.
Wilma prepared a delightful array of dishes—guacamole, avocado toast, and even avocado ice cream. The trio sat together, savoring each bite, their hearts full of pride and gratitude.
"We did it together," Cuca said, her voice filled with happiness.
