Cutie whimpered softly, her mouth aching from the new molars trying to come through. Mia, her caring human sister, noticed the discomfort right away. "Oh, Cutie, you look like you're in pain," Mia said, kneeling down to stroke Cutie's soft fur. Dad entered the room, concern etched on his face.
"Let's see if we can make her feel better," Dad suggested, fetching a cold chew toy from the freezer. He handed it to Cutie, who sniffed it curiously before giving it a tentative bite. Mia sat beside her, whispering soothing words. Mom joined them with a gentle smile, bringing a bowl of lukewarm water.
"You're such a brave girl, Cutie," Mom said, patting her gently. Cutie wagged her tail, feeling the love from her family. Dad sat down with a book on pet care, reading aloud tips for soothing teething pain. The room was filled with laughter and love, making Cutie feel more at ease.
As the day went on, Cutie found comfort in her family's presence and the cool chew toy. Her pain slowly faded, replaced by a feeling of relief. She lay peacefully on the rug, her eyes closing as she drifted into a restful nap, surrounded by her loving family.
Mia watched Cutie sleep, her heart full of love for her furry friend. "I'm glad Cutie's feeling better," Mia said, smiling at her parents. Dad nodded, placing a hand on Mia's shoulder. "With a family like ours, she'll always be taken care of," Mom added, her voice full of warmth.
Cutie woke up, feeling much better. Her new molars had come in, and the pain was gone. She bounded over to Mia, her tail wagging happily. "I love you, Cutie," Mia whispered, hugging her tight. Cutie barked softly in response, knowing she was loved and safe, no matter what.
