Jack awoke with a yawn, his eyes squinting at the bright morning light. "Mom, Dad? You up?" he called, pushing aside his woolen blanket.
Mom replied from downstairs, her voice a gentle but firm reminder of the morning routine. "I'm downstairs, Jack. Now be quiet. Your dad is still sleeping."
"Oh, about that..." Jack hesitated, his fingers fidgeting with the frayed edge of his shirt.
"About what?" she inquired, a hint of concern creeping into her tone.
"Dad was fired from work," Jack admitted, his voice barely above a whisper.
Mom dropped the dishcloth she was holding, her eyes widening in shock. "What?! Why?!"
"I came with him and wrote on something and blamed Dad," Jack confessed, his head bowed in shame.
Dad appeared in the doorway, his face etched with weariness. "Bill!" Mom exclaimed, turning to him. "Is it true that Jack got you fired?"
"Yes," Dad replied, a sigh escaping his lips.
"I need to go to school!" Jack interjected, eager to escape the heavy atmosphere.
"Get in the car!" Mom urged, her voice carrying a mix of exasperation and urgency.
"K, Mom," Jack replied as he hurriedly grabbed his backpack, the tension of the morning thick in the air.
Ten minutes later, the school bell rang as Jack hopped out of the car, waving a quick goodbye. "Bye, Mom!" he shouted, trying to sound cheerful.
"Bye, Jack!" Mom called back, her worry evident.
Friend approached Jack, curiosity in his eyes. "What took you so long, Jack?"
"Uuhh... I slept in?" Jack replied, a sheepish grin spreading across his face.
"You have an alarm clock, dude?" his friend asked, raising an eyebrow.
"I... uhh... unplugged it?" Jack shrugged, attempting to sound nonchalant.
"Okay," his friend replied, unconvinced.
Teacher addressed the class with authority. "Now, class, what do you do when you see a zombie?"
"Sighs," Jack muttered under his breath, staring at his desk.
"Jack, please answer," the teacher insisted, her gaze fixed on him.
"What? Me? Umm???" Jack stammered, caught off guard.
"Did you even study, Jack?" the teacher asked, a hint of disappointment in her voice.
"No," Jack admitted, his cheeks flushing with embarrassment.
Bully approached Jack with a sneer. "Hey, I got a F-!!!"
"You deserve it," Jack replied defiantly, his anger simmering beneath the surface.
"And you deserve this!" the bully retorted, throwing a punch.
"I'm home," Jack announced, stepping inside with a wince.
"Omg!!! What happened?" Mom rushed over, concern etched on her face.
"I got beat up 'cause a bully told me to do his homework and I made him get a F-," Jack explained, his voice tinged with frustration.
"Oh, honey," Mom sighed, wrapping him in a comforting embrace.
"Just leave me alone, please?" Jack requested, retreating to his room.
Jack's anger surged, transporting him to a dark realm where Herobrine awaited. "Jack, you must be the next Herobrine," the enigmatic figure declared, his eyes glowing with an eerie light.
Herobrine transferred his powers to Jack, who felt a strange energy course through him. A beacon of light shone from Jack's mouth, illuminating the darkness.
"Must... protect... Minecraft!" Jack vowed, his resolve strengthening as he embraced his newfound destiny.
