Dora and Boots arrive at the playground, grinning as they spot their friend Little Bill sitting sadly on a bench. Dora waves and jogs over, her purple backpack bouncing on her shoulders. Boots follows quickly, his blue boots leaving little prints in the soft dirt.
"Hola, Little Bill! Why do you look so sad on such a beautiful day?"
"Hi, Dora. Hi, Boots. I can’t find my favorite toy car! I had it with me, but now it’s gone. I’ve looked everywhere and I just can’t find it," Little Bill says, his eyes brimming with worry.
"Don’t worry, Little Bill! We’ll help you find your toy car. Right, Dora?"
"Sí, Boots! Let’s retrace Little Bill’s steps and see if we can solve the mystery,"
Dora kneels and looks under the swing set, while Boots climbs up the jungle gym for a better view. Little Bill nervously scans the sandbox, kicking at the sand.
"I don’t see it up here, Dora! Did you check by the water fountain?"
"Not yet, Boots! Let’s check over there next,"
Little Bill spots something in the mud—small tracks that look just like the wheels of his toy car.
"Look! Tire tracks! My car must’ve rolled this way,"
"Great job, Little Bill! Let’s follow the tracks and see where they lead," Boots exclaims, excitement in his voice.
Boots pushes aside the branches, revealing Little Bill’s missing toy car wedged between some rocks. Little Bill beams, his sadness melting away.
"You found it! Thank you, Dora! Thank you, Boots!"
"We’re always happy to help our friends," Dora says with a bright smile, handing the car back.
Dora sits with her mom, recounting the day’s adventure. Her mom listens, pride shining in her eyes.
"Mom, today Boots and I helped Little Bill find his missing toy car! We followed clues and worked together until we found it. It felt really good to help a friend,"
Dora’s Mom hugs her gently, "I’m so proud of you, Dora. Helping friends is one of the best adventures of all."
