Dora tiptoed beside Boots, both peering nervously at the dark cottage. Suddenly, a wispy figure floated by the window with a low, haunting moan. Mr. Riddles, their clever but timid friend, shivered and clung to Boots for comfort.
"Did you see that? It's a ghost! We have to get out of here!"
Dora grabbed Boots's hand, her heart pounding. Mr. Riddles stumbled over a root but kept running, his eyes wide with fear. Only the sound of their hurried footsteps and panting breath broke the silence.
"We need help! Let's find Geo Umizoomi!"
Geo Umizoomi[/@ch_4] stands tinkering with a glowing gadget. Fireflies swirl gently in the warm night air, illuminating the friendly face of their math-loving friend.]
Dora hurried over, explaining the ghostly encounter in a rush. Geo Umizoomi listened intently, adjusting his glasses and nodding. He promised to help them uncover the truth behind the spooky sighting.
"Don't worry! With a little investigation and teamwork, we'll solve this mystery together."
Mr. Riddles hesitated at the doorway, but Dora offered a reassuring smile. Geo Umizoomi scanned the room, noticing a white sheet fluttering from the rafters. A trail of muddy footprints led to a hidden corner behind an old cabinet.
"Look! Whoever pretended to be the ghost must have used this sheet and left these footprints."
Swiper[/@ch_5], the mischievous fox, clutching the sheet and trying not to laugh.]
Swiper steps out sheepishly, realizing the joke had gone too far. Dora shakes her head with a gentle smile, and Mr. Riddles sighs in relief, finally understanding there was no ghost after all.
"Sorry, I just wanted to play a trick. I didn't mean to scare anyone!"
Dora hugs Mr. Riddles, who smiles gratefully, no longer afraid. Geo Umizoomi passes around cookies, and even Swiper joins in with a promise to keep tricks fun, not frightening.
"We solved the mystery together, and that's what friends are for!"
