Dora clutches her map tightly, her flashlight beam trembling as she and Boots tiptoe past a cluster of mossy rocks. Suddenly, a pale, shimmering figure floats from behind a tree, its transparent shape swirling as it lets out a ghostly moan. Boots jumps so high his red boots nearly fly off. "Did you see that, Boots? It’s a ghost!" "Ahhh! Run, Dora, run!" Together, they dash through the woods, leaves crunching beneath their feet, hearts pounding with fear.
Dora and Boots burst out of the trees, breathless, nearly colliding with Geo Umizoomi and his friends, Milli and Bot, who are busy building a tower of blocks. "Geo! Milli! Bot! There’s a ghost in the forest, and it chased us!" "It was so spooky and floaty and made the scariest sound!" "Don’t worry, Dora and Boots! We’ll help you," says Geo Umizoomi, determination lighting up his face. "Let’s come up with a plan to scare the ghost away!"
Bot draws a picture of a tiger, its stripes bold and eyes fierce. Milli crafts a tiger mask from orange and black paper, while Geo Umizoomi explains the plan. "Ghosts get scared too, especially of tigers! We’ll make ourselves look and sound like a whole pack of scary tigers." Dora nods, her fear slowly turning into excitement. "I hope this works! I don’t want that ghost following us ever again."
A cold wind rattles the branches as the ghost appears, its moan rising above the rustle of leaves. Geo Umizoomi, Milli, and Bot leap out, roaring and waving their paws. Dora and Boots join in, their “tiger” growls echoing through the clearing. The ghost’s eyes widen in terror, and with a frightened wail, it spins around and zooms off into the night, vanishing between the trees.
"Yay! We did it! The ghost is gone!" "Yay! That was awesome! I wasn’t scared at all with all of you with me!" "Yay! Teamwork always works best!" "Yay for tigers and friends!" The friends cheer, hugging each other, their laughter echoing through the safe, ghost-free woods.
Dora sits at the table, her cheeks still flushed with excitement as she tells her mother every detail of the night’s adventure. "And then we all scared the ghost away, Mom! Our tiger plan really worked. I wasn’t scared anymore because my friends were with me." Her mother smiles, pulling her into a warm hug, proud of her brave, clever daughter and the power of friendship.
