Dora and Boots walked hand in hand, their backpacks bouncing with every step. The air was cool, and the only sounds were distant owl hoots and the crunch of leaves beneath their feet. Suddenly, a chilling wind swept through the trees, making the branches creak and sway. From behind a gnarled trunk, an enormous ghostly figure with glowing eyes and a terrifying monster with jagged teeth leapt out, their shadows stretching across the path.
"Dora, look! A giant ghost and a scary monster!"
"¡Ay, caramba! Run, Boots, run!"
Leaves whip past their faces as Dora and Boots sprint, their hearts pounding. The ghost and monster seem to float after them, their eerie moans echoing through the woods. Boots nearly trips on a root but Dora pulls him up, not daring to look back. Fear grips them as they see the figures closing in.
"Dora, I’ve never been so scared! What do we do?"
"We need help—let’s find Geo from Team Umizoomi!"
Geo stands in the center, surrounded by gadgets and glowing screens. Dora and Boots burst into the clearing, their faces flushed and eyes wide. Geo immediately notices their distress and hurries over, his voice gentle and reassuring.
"Geo! We saw a huge ghost and a scary monster in the jungle! They chased us all the way here!"
"Don’t worry, Dora and Boots. Let’s figure out what’s really going on. Can you show me where you saw them?"
The wind rustles the leaves, and their beams of light reveal nothing but fog and twisted branches. Suddenly, a faint giggle carries through the air, followed by the rustle of something soft. Geo spots a trail of sparkling dust and follows it, motioning for Dora and Boots to stay close.
"Keep your eyes out for anything unusual… Look, footprints!"
"Those look like… sneakers?"
Swiper, the sneaky fox, pulls off the ghost sheet with a sly grin, while Milli from Team Umizoomi removes the monster mask, giggling. Dora and Boots gasp, their fear turning to astonishment. Geo laughs, shaking his head as the truth is revealed.
"Hehehe, I just wanted to spook you, Dora! Swiping’s no fun without a little trick!"
"And I wanted to help Swiper, but we didn’t mean to scare you so much!"
"Oh, Swiper, Milli! You really got us this time."
Dora and Boots forgive their friends, and Geo suggests a round of their favorite jungle game to lighten the mood. The stars twinkle above, and the jungle feels safe again. Even Swiper promises to play nice for the rest of the night, and Milli hands out glowsticks to everyone.
"I’m glad it was just you guys. Next time, maybe warn us before you go ghosty!"
"No more monsters—just friends having fun."
