Dora clutches her backpack tightly, her wide eyes scanning the darkness. Boots, her loyal monkey friend, trembles beside her, holding onto Dora’s arm. Suddenly, an enormous ghost with a swirling, glowing body swoops down from the treetops, a much smaller, giggling baby ghost trailing behind.
"Dora, did you see that? It’s a g-g-giant ghost…and a baby ghost, too!" Dora gulps, trying to be brave even as her knees shake. "We have to get out of here, Boots! Run!" The ghosts wail playfully, but their voices echo through the woods, sending chills down their spines.
Dora and Boots sprint along the uneven trail, their breaths visible in the chilly air. Behind them, the laughter of the baby ghost and the deep, echoing moans of the giant ghost grow louder. Low branches snag at their clothes as they dart and weave, desperate to reach safety.
"I hope Geo Umizoomi’s haunted house isn’t far, Dora!" "Just a little further, Boots! We can make it!" Their feet pound the damp earth as they spot the crooked outline of a house on the hill ahead—pale light gleaming from the windows.

Inside, cobwebs dangle from the ceiling and old portraits seem to watch their every move. Geo Umizoomi, a clever boy with blue hair and goggles, stands in the hallway holding a flashlight. "Geo! We need your help! There’s a giant ghost and a baby ghost chasing us!" Boots nods frantically, his tail puffed out in fear.
"Whoa! That sounds spooky! But don’t worry, I’m great at solving mysteries," Geo Umizoomi says, adjusting his goggles. He beckons them further inside, away from the rattling windows.
Geo Umizoomi listens carefully as Dora and Boots recount their terrifying encounter. He jots notes and compares footprints found on the dusty floor. "Did the ghosts seem friendly or were they just trying to scare you?"
"The baby ghost sounded like it was laughing, but the big one… it was so loud!" "But they didn’t try to touch us. Maybe they just wanted to play?" Geo Umizoomi raises an eyebrow, considering the clues.

Geo Umizoomi steps forward, grinning. "I thought so! It was Swiper and Milli all along!" "Swiper, no swiping! But that was a pretty good costume," Dora exclaims as everyone laughs in relief.
"We just wanted to see if we could give you a little Halloween scare!" "Well, you sure did! Next time, let’s just play hide and seek," Boots says with a grin.
Dora and Boots thank Geo Umizoomi for his detective skills. Swiper and Milli share cookies and stories, everyone promising to stick to friendly games in the future. The wind outside grows gentle, carrying away the last whispers of fear.
"Best haunted house adventure ever," Dora declares, as laughter echoes through the house and the friends huddle together, safe and happy in the warm glow of friendship.
