Dora adjusts her purple backpack and points excitedly at the treehouse above. Boots, a cheerful monkey with bright red boots, bounces beside her, his eyes sparkling with curiosity.
"Boots, look! That must be Little Bill’s treehouse. He needs our help to solve the ghost mystery,"
"Yay! I hope the ghost isn’t too spooky, Dora. Let’s climb up and see what’s going on!"
Little Bill looks up as Dora and Boots enter, relief washing over his face.
"Dora! Boots! I’m so glad you’re here. Last night, I heard strange noises and saw glowing lights in the treehouse. I think there’s a ghost!"
"Don’t worry, Little Bill. With Dora’s super detective skills and my monkey moves, we’ll figure this out together!"
Dora flips through Little Bill’s notebook, searching for clues about the ghostly events.
"Look! Last night, the noises started at midnight, right after you finished your drawing. And here—these footprints are small and muddy," she observes, pointing to faint marks by the window.
"But I cleaned the floor yesterday. Those are new!" Boots examines the window latch, his tail twitching with excitement.
Boots clutches Dora’s hand, his eyes wide.
"D-d-dora, did you hear that? Maybe it really is a ghost!"
"Let’s be brave and check under the trapdoor together," Dora suggests, her voice steady but gentle.
Dora[/@ch_1] slowly lifts the trapdoor, revealing a small, frightened squirrel huddled next to a pile of acorns. A broken lantern lies nearby, its glass catching the light and casting eerie reflections on the walls. The “ghostly” moaning stops as the squirrel chitters nervously.]
Little Bill kneels down, his fear melting into relief.
"It’s just a squirrel! He must have gotten trapped last night and knocked over the lantern, making the spooky lights and sounds,"
"Mystery solved! Now we know there’s no ghost—just a scared little friend who needed help," smiles Dora.
Dora[/@ch_1], Boots, and Little Bill share peanut butter sandwiches and giggle about their adventure. The rescued squirrel munches on an acorn, no longer afraid. The treehouse feels safe and cozy once more, with laughter echoing through the leaves.]
"I guess we’re all braver than we thought, huh?"
"Thanks for helping me, Dora and Boots. You’re the best friends a kid could have!"
"Anytime, Little Bill! And remember, every mystery is easier to solve when we work together,"
