Dora and Boots are walking together, their backpacks bouncing as they search for adventure, when the ghost appears.
"Did you see that, Boots? There's something spooky over there!"
"Dora, I'm scared! Let's run!" Without another word, both dash through the forest, their hearts pounding.
Dora and Boots burst out of the trees and sprint all the way home, breathless and trembling. The safe, warm glow of their house comforts them as they slam the door shut behind them.
"We made it!"
"But what if the ghost follows us? We need help!"
Dora and Boots rush to find Geo Umizoomi, who is visiting for the evening.
"Geo, we saw a scary ghost in the woods! It chased us all the way home!"
"Don’t worry, Dora and Boots! We can figure out a way to scare that ghost right back."
Geo Umizoomi draws a quick sketch of a scary mask, and they gather items: a flashlight, a spooky cape, and a big, noisy horn.
"If we work together, we can make something super scary!"
"Let’s use the mask and the horn. That ghost won’t know what hit him!"
Dora jumps out wearing the mask, Boots blasts the horn, and Geo Umizoomi shines the flashlight right at the ghost. The ghost trembles, its glow flickering erratically.
"Boo! Go away, ghost!"
The ghost, startled and terrified, lets out a yelp and flees deeper into the forest.
"Yay! We scared the ghost away!"
Dora runs to her mom, excitement lighting up her face.
"Mom, guess what happened! We saw a ghost, but we were brave and scared it away with Geo Umizoomi’s help!"
Her mom hugs her tightly, proud of their courage and teamwork.
