Dora clutches her backpack tightly, her eyes wide in alarm as she pulls Boots along behind her. Leaves whip past their faces and the sunlight flickers rapidly between branches as they run.
"Dora, did you see that bear? It was huge!"
"Yes, Boots! We have to get to Geo Umizoomi and tell him what happened—hurry!"
Geo Umizoomi[/@ch_3] stands beside a colorful gadget, adjusting its glowing buttons.]
Dora bursts into the clearing, breathing hard, with Boots right behind her. They rush up to Geo Umizoomi, their voices trembling with fear and urgency.
"Geo, we saw a bear! It jumped out from behind the bushes and scared us so much!"
"A bear? Here? That's strange... Bears usually stay far away from this part of the forest."
Geo Umizoomi[/@ch_3] leads Dora and Boots back along the winding trail, scanning the ground for clues. The sunlight grows softer as evening approaches, casting a golden glow over the forest floor.]
"Do you think it's still out there, Geo?"
"Let's look for tracks. If there's a real bear, we should find big paw prints. But if not... maybe something else is going on."
"Look, over there! Those footprints—do they look like a bear's to you?"
Geo Umizoomi kneels and examines the tracks, his brow furrowed.
"These aren't bear prints at all... They're too small, and see here—bits of costume fur! Someone was pretending to be a bear."
"But who would do that? And why scare us?"
Swiper[/@ch_4], the sneaky fox, still wearing a silly bear costume. The last rays of sun glint off his fake claws as he tiptoes through the ferns.]
Geo Umizoomi steps forward, his face stern.
"Swiper, it was you all along! That was a mean trick to play on Dora and Boots."
"Aw, man! I just wanted to have a little fun..."
"That wasn't funny, Swiper. You really scared us."
Dora[/@ch_1], Boots, and Geo Umizoomi stand together, relieved but wiser, while Swiper offers a sheepish apology.]
"Next time, think before you try to trick your friends, Swiper. We're all here to help each other, not to scare each other."
"Let's head home, everyone. I think we've had enough adventure for one day!"
"And maybe next time, we can all play together—no costumes, just friends."
