Dora and Boots were walking hand-in-hand, enjoying their adventure beneath the towering vines when a sudden chill swept through the air. Three ghostly shapes floated into view, their pale forms shimmering and their eyes glowing faintly in the gloom. Dora's heart raced as she glanced at Boots, who was already trembling.
"Dora, do you see that? Are those... ghosts?"
"I'm scared, Boots! Let's get out of here!"
Dora[/@ch_1] and Boots dash away, the jungle growing darker and the mist clinging to their legs.]
Boots clung tightly to Dora's backpack, both of them running as fast as they could. Behind them, the ghostly figures floated silently, never seeming to touch the ground. Branches whipped against their arms as they raced towards the clearing where they hoped to find help.
"Geo! Geo! Help us!" Dora shouted, her voice echoing through the trees.
Geo[/@ch_3], Milli, and Bot – are playing with colorful shapes.]
Geo turned as Dora and Boots burst into the clearing, panting and wild-eyed. Milli dropped her measuring tape, and Bot blinked in surprise.
"Geo, there are ghosts in the jungle! Real ghosts! They're following us!"
"Ghosts? Don't worry, Dora. We'll get to the bottom of this mystery together!"
Geo led the way, holding out a glowing flashlight that cut through the mist. Milli used her tape to measure the distance between the trees, while Bot scanned for anything unusual. The "ghosts" drifted closer, their forms flickering in the beam of light.
"Wait a minute, those ghosts look kind of familiar..."
"I think I see something underneath those sheets!"
Swiper[/@ch_6], Tico, and Benny. The moonlight sparkles on their bright, playful costumes.]
Dora gasped as the truth was revealed. Swiper's orange tail poked out, Tico grinned shyly, and Benny adjusted his floppy ears.
"Sorry, Dora! We just wanted to play a little Halloween trick!"
"We didn't mean to scare you so much. It was all in good fun!"
Dora smiled and hugged Boots, relief washing over her. Geo, Milli, and Bot joined the circle, sharing jokes and snacks. Swiper, Tico, and Benny promised to save their tricks for another time – or at least to warn everyone first.
"Next time, maybe just come play with us. No ghost costumes required!"
"Yeah! Adventures are always better with friends."
