Dora and Boots are adventuring with their backpacks, laughter echoing beneath the towering trees. Suddenly, a chill wind whistles through the branches, and a pale, flickering shape glides across the path ahead. The friends freeze, wide-eyed, as the ghostly figure lets out a wobbly "Oooooh!" and disappears into the underbrush.
"D-Do you see that, Dora? That was a ghost!"
"Let's get out of here, Boots! Run!"
Dora[/@ch_1] and Boots dash through tangled vines. Their footsteps thud on the soft earth, heartbeats pounding in their ears.]
They don't dare look back, branches snagging at their clothes as they race toward the open clearing ahead. Moonlight glimmers on the grass, and the friends burst out of the trees, gasping for breath. Boots's tail trembles, and Dora clutches her backpack tightly.
"Boots, we have to find help! Maybe Geo Umizoomi will know what to do."
Geo Umizoomi[/@ch_3] is tinkering with a shiny robot. The space glows with colorful lights and the hum of cheerful technology.]
Dora and Boots rush in, panting and wild-eyed. Geo Umizoomi looks up, concern flickering across his face as he wipes oil from his hands.
"Geo, you have to help us! We just saw a ghost in the jungle!"
"It was so scary and it chased us! Please, can you help us find out what it was?"
Geo Umizoomi leads the way, scanning for clues with his trusty magnifying glass. They spot a trail of white fabric caught on a low branch, fluttering in the breeze. A faint giggle echoes nearby, and Dora's courage returns as she inches closer.
"Look! This isn't a real ghost—it's just a costume!"
"But who would dress up like a ghost and scare us?"
Swiper[/@ch_4], the mischievous fox, grinning sheepishly.]
Swiper, cheeks red beneath his mask, fidgets with the sheet. Dora and Boots both gasp, then burst into relieved laughter. Geo Umizoomi grins, shaking his head.
"Swiper! You scared us so much! Why did you do it?"
"I just wanted to have a little fun... but I didn't mean to frighten you that badly. Sorry, Dora. Sorry, Boots."
Swiper[/@ch_4]'s arms.]
Boots laughs, the tension melting away. Geo Umizoomi promises to help Swiper find better ways to play. As they walk back toward the clearing, Dora smiles at her friends, grateful for their bravery and teamwork.
"Next time, let's stick to adventures without ghosts—unless they're friendly, of course!"
"Yeah! And maybe with more snacks too!"
