Dora stretched her arms and looked out the window, feeling the warmth of a sunny morning.
"Today is a special day. I am going on a maths adventure!"
She carefully packed her backpack with a map, a pencil, a notebook, and some tasty snacks, placing everything with excitement.
Dora called out, "Backpack, backpack!"
Backpack, always cheerful, replied, "I’ve got everything we need!"
Dora traced the path on her map with her finger, eyes sparkling with anticipation.
Dora entered Number Forest, her notebook in hand.
Boots the Monkey swung down from a tree, waving happily. "Hi Dora! The gate is closed. We need to count to open it."
They spotted 7 birds on one tree and 5 on another. "How many birds are there in total?" Together, they counted, "7 plus 5 equals 12!" The gate swung open, and Boots clapped his hands in celebration.
Dora and Boots reached the edge of Shape River. "To cross the river, we must choose the correct shapes," she read from the map.
They saw circles, squares, and triangles spread across the river.
"We can only step on squares," Dora announced. Together, they counted, "One, two, three, four, five!" Smiling, they hopped across the five square stones, making it safely to the other side.
Swiper the Fox stood by the path, holding a basket. "To go up the mountain, you must solve my maths problem," he challenged.
He showed them the apples. "There are 20 apples. I give 8 apples to my friends. How many apples are left?" Dora wrote in her notebook, thinking hard. "20 minus 8 equals 12." Swiper nodded, smiling. "Correct. You may pass."
Boots jumped up with joy. "You did it!"
Dora felt proud and happy, raising her arms in triumph. "Maths helps us think, count, and solve problems," she said, waving to her friends and the audience.
"We did it! ¡Lo hicimos!"
