Dora and Boots are on their way to Abuela’s house when suddenly, a shadow flickers behind a tree. Out leaps Swiper the fox, his eyes gleaming mischievously, holding a sack of pilfered goodies. Close behind him, The Cute Crook, a small bandit with a polka-dot mask, and Maximo the elf, a spritely figure with a tiny green hat, prance with sneaky grins.
"Oh no, Boots! Swiper, the cute crook and Maximo are here!"
"Let’s get out of here, Dora! They look super scary today!"
With hearts pounding, Dora and Boots sprint away, clutching each other tightly. Branches whip past, and the distant laughter of Swiper, The Cute Crook, and Maximo rings out. They don’t stop until they spot a friendly face at the edge of the clearing: Geo Umizoomi, wearing a bright blue suit with numbers glowing on his belt.
"Geo! Geo! Swiper and his friends are after us!"
"Don’t worry, Dora and Boots! I know just how to help you."
Geo Umizoomi quickly sketches out a clever plan. He gathers leaves, sticks, and shiny rocks, arranging them into a scary shape. Dora and Boots help, giggling nervously, as the outline begins to resemble a giant roaring lion and spooky ghost.
"Let’s set this up right where Swiper and his friends like to sneak! They’ll never expect it!"
Swiper the fox, The Cute Crook, and Maximo the elf tiptoe into the clearing, greedily eyeing a shiny pile of “treasure.” Suddenly, the lion lets out a ferocious roar (thanks to a hidden speaker), and the ghost shape sways, its sheet fluttering eerily in the wind.
"Ahh! What’s that? Run for your lives!"
"I don’t want to get eaten by a lion or haunted by a ghost!"
"Let’s get out of here!"
The would-be crooks drop everything and race off into the night, tripping over roots and tumbling into bushes.
Dora jumps up and down, hugging Boots and Geo Umizoomi. They cheer, their laughter echoing through the trees as fireflies dance around them.
"Yay! We did it! Swiper, the cute crook, and Maximo are gone!"
"Thank you, Geo! That was the scariest, bravest plan ever!"
Dora sits beside her mom, eyes sparkling as she recounts their wild adventure in the jungle. Boots nods excitedly, adding details about the scary lion and ghost.
"And then we scared them all away, Mama! Geo helped us, and now we’re safe!"
Dora’s Mom smiles, hugging Dora close.
"I’m so proud of you, mi amor. You were very brave today."
