Dotty sat up in her bed, her big brown eyes sparkling with excitement. She stretched her arms wide and beamed at the golden rays warming her cheeks. Today was an important day—no more nappies for this big girl! She hopped out of bed, twirling in delight and whispering, "Hello, my name is Dotty and today I’m going to use my potty. No more nappies for this big girl. I’m so happy I’m going to do a twirl."
Dotty skipped into the bathroom after her morning drink, clutching her favorite stuffed bunny. She sat on her potty, feet dangling, and looked thoughtful. "In the morning after my drink I go off to my potty to have a think," she said, glancing at her bunny for encouragement. Sometimes, she just sat and hummed, doing nothing at all, but that was okay—she knew she could always try again later.
Dotty ran around the garden, her pigtails bouncing as she chased a blue ball beneath the big apple tree. Suddenly, she paused, remembering something important. "When I’m in the garden having fun and remember I need to do a number one, off I go once again," she recited with pride. This time, she didn't even need to count to ten—she knew just what to do.
Mummy spotted Dotty returning from her potty adventure, her face glowing with accomplishment. "Hurray!" she cheered, jumping up and down and looking quite funny. "Well done for using the potty, Dotty!" The kitchen filled with laughter as Dotty giggled at her mummy’s happy dance.
Dotty hugged her bunny close and grinned. She had learned something new and important today. "So now that I know what to do, maybe next time I will do a number two," she said, her voice full of hope and determination. The day ended with cuddles and stories, and the promise of many more proud moments to come.
