Ella sat beneath a sprawling oak, her sketchbook balanced on her knees. Her eyes sparkled with curiosity as she listened to the chatter of nearby squirrels. She was not an ordinary girl; her gift allowed her to hear and speak with every creature that called the woods home.
"Good morning, Robin! Did you sleep well?"
A red-breasted robin fluttered down to perch beside Ella, its head cocked in greeting.
Robin, a lively bird with a mischievous glint, chirped in response.
"I slept wonderfully! The moon was extra bright last night. Are you coming to the pond meeting today?"
"Of course," Ella replied, smiling warmly.
As Ella approached, she noticed the worried faces of her animal friends. Bramble, an old badger with wise eyes, shuffled forward.
"Something is wrong, Ella. The foxes say there's a strange smell near the old willow. We fear an intruder,"
"Let's investigate together. If someone needs help, we'll find out," she reassured them all.
Ella crouched low, tracing the tiny paw prints with gentle fingers. Pip, a young mouse, squeaked timidly from beneath a leaf.
"I saw a kitten! She looked lost and scared, hiding from the thunder,"
"Thank you, Pip. Let's help her," Ella whispered, her heart swelling with determination.
Ella[/@ch_1] found a trembling kitten, her fur damp and eyes wide with fear. The animals formed a gentle circle, their voices soft and inviting.]
Ella knelt beside the kitten, speaking softly.
"Don't be afraid. We're here to help you. What is your name?"
Kitten, a tiny tabby with silvery stripes, blinked gratefully.
"I’m Luna. I got lost during the storm. Can I stay with you?"
Ella[/@ch_1]. The pond sparkles, and joy ripples through the woods.]
Ella stroked Luna’s fur, her heart full.
"Of course, Luna. You’re part of our family now. As long as I’m here, no creature will ever be alone,"
The woods echoed with happy voices, and Ella knew her gift was meant for moments just like this.
