Ellah lay in her bed, clutching her stuffed elephant, Goose, tightly. "I'm scared of the dark, Goose," she whispered, her eyes wide as they darted around the room.
"Don't worry, Ellah," a voice replied softly, though Ellah knew it was only her imagination giving life to Goose.
Ellah opened her eyes to find herself in a forest glade, her bed transformed into a mossy hillock. Goose stood beside her, now life-sized and vibrant, his plush gray fur shimmering under the moonlight.
"Welcome to the Enchanted Forest!" Goose proclaimed, his trunk gesturing grandly.
Ellah marveled at the glowing flora around her, reaching out to touch petals that felt like silk. Creatures of all shapes and sizes peered curiously from the underbrush, their eyes reflecting the gentle light.
"It's beautiful, Goose," Ellah breathed, her fear melting away with each step.
"Stay close, Ellah," Goose murmured, his voice calm yet firm.
Ellah watched as the shadows took shape, revealing themselves to be friendly forest spirits. Their eyes glowed warmly, and their laughter was like the tinkling of wind chimes.
"The night is full of wonders, not fears," one of the spirits explained, its voice like a gentle breeze.
Ellah gazed up at the sky, her heart filled with awe. "I understand now," she said, smiling at Goose. "The dark isn't scary; it's magical."
Ellah hugged Goose tightly, feeling a newfound courage within her. "Thank you, Goose," she whispered, her fear of the dark now replaced by a sense of wonder.
"Anytime, Ellah," Goose replied, his stitched smile reassuring and constant.
