Elodie sat cross-legged beside her teacup, hugging her knees. Everything in her room seemed so big—her bookshelf, her pillow, even her own shoes. Elodie let out a sigh, wishing she could be just a tiny bit braver, just a little bit bigger. "If only I could be brave, even though I’m small," she whispered, peering into the painted flowers inside her favorite teacup.
Elodie scrunched her eyes shut and scooted into the teacup. It wobbled, then began to glide—sailing smoothly over the quilt-turned-ocean. The patchwork hills became rolling waves, and her bedside lamp beamed like a faraway lighthouse. "Where are we going, little teacup?" she giggled, the air tingling with excitement and the soft scent of chamomile.
Elodie stepped out, her toes sinking into the moss. Enormous daisies leaned down to greet her, and a path of twinkling stones led deeper into the kingdom. She glanced up at the gentle giants awaiting her arrival and felt a flutter of wonder in her chest.

"Welcome, tiniest traveler," purred Florence, stretching and sending a swirl of tea-scented steam around the clearing.
"We heard you’re brave, even if you’re small," added Sir Nibble, offering a soft paw.
"Please, allow us to crown you Bravest of the Small," rumbled Sunny, bowing low and placing a crown of dandelion fluff on Elodie's head.

Elodie stands a little taller, her worries melting away in the soft light. The world feels less enormous, and her voice rings out clear. "Maybe small can be strong, too," she says, surprising even herself, and her new friends cheer softly, petals and ears wiggling with delight.
Elodie thinks for a moment, then tiptoes up to Florence. "Could you use your warm steam to help pour the tea?" she asks sweetly. With a careful puff, Florence tilts the pot just right, filling every cup with cozy tea. The creatures clap, and Sir Nibble beams at Elodie, "Quiet bravery is the very best kind,".

Elodie sits on a mushroom, watching the shadows grow long. "I wish I could stay, but I think I need to go home now," she says quietly, her fingers tracing her dandelion crown. Florence wraps her in a warm, tea-scented hug, and Sunny bows again, petals glowing softly.
Elodie snuggles into the teacup as it sails home, her eyes fluttering shut. When she opens them, she’s in her own room once more, moonlight painting flowers on her quilt. "I think I can be small and brave, all at once," she whispers, drifting into the softest, happiest dreams.
