Emberly was up early, her small boots crunching on the dew-covered grass. Today was special; she was going to show her new baby sister, Ellie, everything about the farm. "Come on, Ellie! There's so much to see," she announced excitedly, even though Ellie was still too young to understand.
Emberly led Ellie to the barn, her tiny hand gripping the stroller. "This is the tractor, Ellie. It's super powerful and helps us with lots of things," she explained, patting the giant wheel. Emberly imagined the day Ellie would be old enough to ride with her.
Emberly carefully wheeled Ellie closer to the fence. "These are our goats. They're very friendly," she said, reaching out to scratch one behind its ears. The goats nibbled curiously at Ellie's blanket, eliciting a soft giggle from her.
Emberly settled down next to Ellie, unpacking a small basket of snacks. "Picnics are the best part of mornings on the farm," she declared, handing Ellie a soft toy. As they sat together, Emberly imagined all the adventures they would share.
Emberly and Ellie watched the sunset from the porch, Emberly feeling proud of her big sister role. "I can't wait for you to grow up, Ellie. We'll have so much fun," she whispered softly.
Emberly snuggled under the covers with Ellie, her eyes heavy with sleep. "Goodnight, Ellie. Tomorrow we explore even more," she murmured, drifting off with happy dreams of the farm they would grow to love together.
