Emilia held tightly to her mother's hand, her small backpack bouncing with each step. Her heart fluttered with a mix of excitement and nerves as she approached the school gates. "Do you think they'll like me, Mama?" she asked, wide-eyed and hopeful.
Mama smiled gently, kneeling to meet her daughter's gaze. "Of course they will, sweetheart. Just be yourself, and you'll make lots of friends," she reassured her.
Mrs. Johnson, the teacher, greeted Emilia as she entered. "Welcome, Emilia! We're so happy to have you here," she said, pointing to a seat next to a boy with curly hair.
Elias waved at her, his eyes twinkling with friendliness. "Hi, I'm Elias! Want to be desk buddies?" he asked, grinning.
Emilia nodded shyly, feeling her nerves melt away. "I'd like that," she replied, taking her seat and looking around at her new classmates.
Emilia joined a group playing tag, her giggles weaving through the air as she darted around, her feet barely touching the ground. Emma, a girl with pigtails, tagged her gently. "You're fast, Emilia! Let's play again tomorrow," she said breathlessly.
"Definitely!" Emilia beamed, her heart soaring with newfound friendships.
Emilia sat cross-legged on the carpet, eyes wide with wonder as the tale unfolded. Her hand shot up eagerly when Mrs. Johnson asked a question. "Can anyone tell me what happens next?"
"I think the princess finds the hidden garden," Emilia answered, her imagination spinning with possibilities.
Emilia spotted her parents waiting outside, waving enthusiastically. Her face lit up as she ran to them, her backpack bouncing with each step. "Mama, Papa, it was amazing! I made friends and learned so much!" she exclaimed, her eyes shining with joy.
Papa ruffled her hair affectionately. "We're so proud of you, Emilia. Ready for another great day tomorrow?"
"Yes! I can't wait," Emilia replied, already anticipating the adventures that awaited her.
