Emmanuel, a bright-eyed two-year-old, toddled eagerly along the dirt path. His small hand clasped tightly around his mother's finger, he squealed with delight as the farm animals came into view. "Look, Mommy, animals!"
Emmanuel crouched down to examine a cat, its fur a striking shade of orange. "Kitty's like my pumpkin!" he exclaimed, marveling at the similarity. The cat, unfazed, stretched lazily, its whiskers twitching in agreement.
Emmanuel giggled as the dog's tongue lapped at his cheek. "Doggy's brown like my teddy bear!" he declared, wrapping his arms around the dog's neck. The dog barked joyfully, its tail wagging furiously.
Emmanuel pointed with excitement. "Cow’s spots like the blanket we have at home!" he observed, his eyes wide with wonder. The cow mooed softly, acknowledging the little boy's presence.
Emmanuel watched in fascination. "Bunny’s gray like the clouds," he whispered, his voice filled with awe as he reached out to gently stroke the rabbit's fur.
Emmanuel clapped his hands in delight. "Duckies yellow like the sun!" he shouted, his laughter ringing out as the ducks quacked in response.
Emmanuel giggled at the sight. "Piggy’s pink like my ball!" he said, grinning from ear to ear. The pig glanced up briefly, then resumed its muddy play.
Emmanuel rested his head on his mother's shoulder, his eyes heavy with sleep. "Animals are colors," he murmured dreamily. His mother smiled, her heart full of love for her curious little boy and his colorful day of discovery.
