Eagle swooped down gracefully, landing beside Sheep with a gentle rustle of feathers.
"Good morning, old friend. How fares the pasture today?"
"The grass is sweet and the sun is warm," replied Sheep with a contented sigh. "How's the sky treating you?"
Fox slinked out from the shadows, his gaze fixed intently on Sheep.
"Ah, easy pickings," Fox murmured to himself.
Vulture, spotting an opportunity, descended to join Fox.
"The eagle won't always be around to protect," Vulture croaked.
"We must be vigilant," urged Eagle. "Fox and Vulture are plotting something."
"But how can we outwit them?" Sheep asked, worry evident in her voice.
"Together, we’ll find a way," replied Eagle with determination.
"I’ll keep watch from above," declared Eagle, "while you stay close to the herd for protection."
"And if we spot them, we'll lead them into the briar patch," Sheep added, recalling the thorny area that was difficult for Fox and Vulture to navigate.
Fox darted forward, teeth bared, while Vulture swooped low, ready to strike.
"Now!" cried Eagle, diving to distract Fox.
Sheep, quick on her feet, led the chase directly into the briar patch.
"We did it," Sheep said, relief washing over her.
"Indeed," nodded Eagle with a proud smile. "Together, we're an unbeatable team."
"And we always will be," Sheep replied, basking in the warmth of their enduring friendship.
