Fetch loved being part of the family. He wore a little blue shirt and sat on his own chair, his paws resting politely on the table. The family moved around him, chatting and preparing for the day, but all Fetch could think about was the big bowl of shiny red cherries in the center of the table.
"I hope there are enough cherries for dessert tonight," he said, his eyes sparkling with anticipation.
Fetch watched each family member take a few cherries before the bowl reached him. He picked his cherries carefully, savoring their tart-sweet taste and the way the juice stained his whiskers. Everyone giggled at the sight.
"Cherries are the best part of summer," he declared with a cherry-stained grin, his tail thumping against the chair.
Fetch noticed the change. The cherries had vanished, and instead, the family talked excitedly about olives and olive oil. Curious, Fetch trotted outside, following the family as they headed toward the groves. The air was warm and thick with the scent of ripening olives.
"Are olives as tasty as cherries?" he wondered aloud, eyeing the trees overhead.
Fetch tried his best to help, carrying small baskets in his mouth and sniffing the air. The family laughed as he balanced olives on his nose, and he barked with delight. He didn't know if olives would become his new favorite, but he liked being part of the fun.
"Maybe I’ll dream of olive desserts tonight," he exclaimed, his mouth watering at the thought.
Fetch’s fur shimmers, turning the color of fresh olives. He feels light and smooth, swirling like liquid. The family gathers around, amazed and delighted to see their beloved dog transformed into magical green olive oil.
"Fetch, you’re the most amazing part of our summer," the youngest child whispers, hugging the bottle gently.
As the weeks pass, Fetch finds joy in every new taste and adventure. Whether cherries or olives, what matters most is sharing the summer with those he loves. And every time the family gathers, his heart wags as much as his tail, ready for whatever comes next.
