Benny Bunny, wearing a red jersey and a helmet slightly too big for his ears, bounces in place, gripping his hockey stick. Around him, woodland friends gather, bundled up in scarves and mittens, their breath puffing in the chilly air. Today is Benny's first hockey game, and he can't stop his whiskers from trembling with excitement and nerves.
Coach Owl, wise and gentle, flaps down to talk to Benny's team. "Remember, everyone, it's not about winning. It's about having fun and doing your best! Help each other out and cheer for every good try," Coach Owl reminds them, his glasses glinting in the sunlight. Sally Squirrel, the team captain, pats Benny on the back. "Stick with me, Benny! We'll have a blast,"
Benny skates cautiously at first, wobbling as he follows the puck. Freddy Fox from the other team zooms past, tail streaming behind him. "Whoa! They're so fast," whispers Benny, trying to keep up while the crowd of woodland animals cheers.
Benny[/@ch_1]'s skate catches on a bump in the ice. He tumbles down, landing softly on a pile of snow at the rink's edge. The sky is a gentle blue, and a chickadee chirps nearby.]
Benny feels embarrassed and his ears droop. Sally Squirrel skates over, offering a warm paw. "Everyone falls the first time! You’re doing great. Want to try again?" Benny sniffles, then nods, determined to get back up.
Benny[/@ch_1] sees the puck sliding his way. He takes a deep breath, steadies himself, and gently taps it toward the goal, weaving around a curious chipmunk.]
The puck glides past Marty Mole, the goalie, and lands in the net. The crowd erupts in cheers, and Benny beams with pride, his ears standing tall. Coach Owl claps his wings together, and Sally Squirrel gives Benny a high-five.
"Great job, everyone! That was a wonderful game," Coach Owl hoots, handing out mugs of cocoa. Benny giggles, warm and happy inside. "I can't wait to play again!" he says, surrounded by new friends and the sparkling snow.
