Freddy Bunbun, with his floppy ears perked and paws clutching a game controller, bounced excitedly onto a beanbag. Beside him, Mr Monkey, tail swishing, juggled snacks while waiting for the game to load. Dasy, a curious duckling with a bright yellow bill, adjusted her headset. Mousey, small and nimble, nestled between cushions, her whiskers twitching in anticipation. Beary, big and gentle, brought in a tray of honey cookies, setting the mood for an epic gaming night.
"Alright, friends! Tonight, we're playing Baldi's Basics—Animal Version! Who's ready for some math and mayhem?"
"As long as there are no flying chalkboards, I’m in," Mr Monkey laughed, tossing a banana chip to Dasy.
The friends settle in, controllers in hand, as the screen fills with animal students and the stern, owl-eyed Baldi. Shadows flicker from the TV onto their eager faces; the air is thick with excitement and a hint of nervousness.
"Look at Baldi! He’s got feathers and a beak now!" Mousey squeaked, eyes wide as the animal-themed principal waddled into view.
"Don’t let him catch us! Remember, collect notebooks and answer questions," Beary reminded, his deep voice calm but tinged with anticipation.
The group’s avatars scurried down the virtual corridors. Suddenly, a math question popped up: “8 + 4 = ?” The tension spiked as Dasy fumbled with the controls.
"Um, um, is it twelve? Did I get it right?" Dasy quacked nervously.
"You nailed it, Dasy! But watch out—Baldi’s coming!" Mr Monkey called, as the owl-principal’s wings flapped menacingly closer.
Freddy Bunbun led the sprint, guiding his friends through secret passages lined with carrot posters and hidden tunnels. The tension built as they dodged animal hall monitors and solved trickier questions.
"Go left! There’s a secret room behind the art class—quick, follow me!"
"I found another notebook! That’s four! Only three more to go," Beary announced, his paws shaking from the excitement.
Baldi’s footsteps thundered through the speakers. The friends huddled together in-game, racing the clock and the principal. Every wrong answer sent Baldi closer, his beak clicking ominously.
"I can’t believe how fast he moves! Hurry, Freddy, input the answer!"
"Last one… done! Now, everyone—run to the exit!" Freddy Bunbun shouted, adrenaline surging.
Controllers drop onto the beanbags as everyone bursts into laughter, breaths heavy from the excitement. Mr Monkey does a victory dance, Dasy flaps her wings in joy, and Mousey squeaks with glee. Beary passes around honey cookies, the sweet taste marking the end of an unforgettable night.
"Best game night ever! Who’s up for another round… or maybe something a little less mathy?"
"Only if there are more cookies," Beary replied, everyone grinning as the screen faded to black.
