Maya, a curious girl with tangled hair and bright green eyes, reaches out gently toward the rabbit, her hands careful and slow. Liam, cheerful and energetic, leans forward, holding a carrot in his palm. "Do you think Snowy will let us pet her today, Liam?" "Maybe! She’s getting used to us. Look, she’s not even running away," he replies with a wide grin.
Liam keeps perfectly still, his eyes fixed on Snowy. Maya inches her hand forward, her voice barely above a whisper. "If we’re gentle, maybe she’ll trust us," she says, her face glowing with hope. The rabbit sniffs Maya’s fingers, then allows a gentle stroke. "See? She likes you! Next time, maybe I can try," Liam says, a hint of envy and admiration in his voice.
Maya flips through her math notebook, chewing the end of her pencil thoughtfully. Liam sighs, staring at his homework with a furrowed brow. "Why is division so confusing? I wish it was as easy as feeding Snowy," he groans. "Let’s do it together. We’ll finish faster and then we can play more," Maya reassures him, determination shining in her eyes.
Maya points to a tricky question, explaining her method patiently. "Oh, so I just have to split it into groups like we did with the carrots for Snowy?" Liam asks, his face lighting up with understanding. "Exactly! You’re getting it now," Maya says, giving him an encouraging smile. The rabbit hops closer, as if joining their little study group.
Liam tosses a tiny treat onto the grass, and Maya giggles as Snowy nuzzles her hand. "Today was the best. We played, we learned, and we made a new friend," Liam declares, eyes shining with happiness. "Let’s always study together. And always with Snowy," Maya replies, her heart full of joy.
Maya and Liam walk side by side toward the house, feeling the warmth of friendship and accomplishment. Overhead, the stars begin to twinkle, as if wishing them sweet dreams. Behind them, Snowy nestles into the grass, content and safe, waiting for her friends to return another day.
