Galaxy bounds from one corner to another, tail flicking with excitement as he chases an errant butterfly. Every leaf and stone holds a new scent for him, and he pauses often to sniff the cool breeze.
His world is alive with adventure, and the garden seems endless, a place for endless exploration.
Galaxy hesitates, his left cheek oddly puffed out, fur sticking up in tufts. The room is filled with the comforting aroma of fresh coffee and warm bread, but worry lingers in the air.
Sally glances down, her brow creased with concern as she notices the swollen cheek.
"Galaxy, what happened to your face?"
Galaxy looks up with wide, pleading eyes, the swelling now red and angry beneath the black and white fur. Sally strokes his head gently, her fingers trembling as she speaks softly to him.
"We can't wait any longer. It’s getting worse."
The urgency in her voice cuts through the quiet, and she gathers Galaxy into his carrier.
Dr. Langford, a gentle-eyed veterinarian, approaches with calm authority. He examines Galaxy with careful hands, speaking softly to ease the tension.
"It looks like an abscess, probably from a bite or scratch. We'll need to lance the boil and treat the infection,"
Sally nods, her grip tight on the carrier handle, heart pounding.
Dr. Langford reassures Sally as the swelling begins to subside. The procedure is swift but intense, and Sally’s relief is palpable.
"He should start feeling better soon. Just keep the area clean and give him his medication,"
Sally breathes deeply, thankful for the care her beloved cat is receiving.
"Three hundred dollars? For one cat cheek?!"
Galaxy, now dozing peacefully in his carrier, is blissfully unaware of the financial drama. He dreams of sunlit gardens and his next backyard adventure, his cheek already beginning to heal beneath Sally’s tender care.
