Geo Umizoomi sat comfortably, reading his favorite math book, when he noticed a shimmering, translucent figure drifting toward him.
"Wh-who’s there?"
The ghost let out a soft "woooo," its form rippling like mist, and Geo Umizoomi's eyes widened with terror.

Geo Umizoomi dashed down the hallway, heart pounding, barely daring to look back.
"Help! There’s a ghost in the living room!"
His voice trembled as he burst into the next room, searching for someone to save him.
Milly, Geo's clever sister, looked up from her puzzle, concerned.
"Geo, what’s wrong? Why are you so scared?"
"A ghost! It chased me! What should I do?"
Milly quickly grabbed the big, striped beach towel and grinned, her eyes twinkling with confidence.

"Let’s show that ghost we’re not scared!"
She and Geo Umizoomi waved the towel with a dramatic flourish, creating a swirling, colorful shape that looked like two big, silly ghosts.
The original ghost’s eyes grew wide, and it shuddered in surprise.
The Ghost quivered, glancing back at the two towel-phantoms looming before it.
"Eek! Two ghosts? I’m out of here!"
It vanished into the darkness, leaving Geo Umizoomi and Milly giggling in relief.

"Mom, you won’t believe what happened! A ghost tried to scare me, but we scared it away with a beach towel. It ran off so fast!"
Mom smiled, hugging him close, and Geo Umizoomi felt brave and safe at last.
"Yay! I did it!"
