Geo Umizoomi hurries along the sidewalk, his usually bright demeanor clouded by unease. He glances over his shoulder, clutching his backpack tightly as shapes flicker and dance in the mist. Suddenly, a ghostly figure glides past the swings, sending a shiver down his spine. "W-what was that? Ghosts—real ghosts!" he exclaims, voice trembling.
Geo Umizoomi runs as fast as he can, weaving through alleyways and hopping over puddles. His heart pounds in his chest, each beat echoing his desperate footsteps. He spots a figure ahead and calls out, hoping for help. "Somebody, please! There are ghosts behind me!"
Milli[/@ch_2], his clever friend, waiting with a concerned look.]
Milli, role: Geo’s inventive friend, smart and supportive, steps closer. She holds a flashlight and a notebook, her eyes scanning the shadows. "Geo, what happened? You look terrified! Tell me everything," she urges, her tone gentle but determined.
Geo Umizoomi recounts his encounter with the ghostly shapes, voice shaky but gaining strength. "I saw them floating by the playground! They chased me, Milli. I don’t know what to do," he confides. "Let’s investigate together. Maybe there’s a logical explanation," replies Milli, determination sparking in her eyes.
Milli shines her flashlight toward the “ghosts,” exposing a pile of white sheets billowing in the breeze. A group of kids giggle from behind the slide, their faces flushed with excitement. "Geo, look! It was just some kids playing with sheets," she laughs, relief washing over her. Geo Umizoomi lets out a sigh, his fear replaced by embarrassment and then amusement.
Geo Umizoomi smiles at Milli, grateful for her help. "Thanks for believing me and helping figure it out. I guess sometimes things aren’t as scary as they seem," he admits. Milli grins, wrapping an arm around his shoulder. "That’s what friends are for. Next time, we’ll solve any mystery together!" The playground glows under the moon, filled with joy and the promise of new adventures.
