Geo, the brave blue leader of Team Umizoomi with his trusty shape-patterned belt, slides down the big twisty slide, giggling with excitement.
Milli, his pink-haired sister with stretchy arms and a patterned dress, swings nearby, her laughter echoing softly.
Bot, the orange robot buddy with glowing screen eyes and bouncy treads, rolls around the sandbox, beeping happily.
"This playground looks amazing at night, friends! Let's use our Math skills to count the stars while we play!"
"Yeah, Geo! I can stretch my arms to reach the highest monkey bars. One, two, three—up I go!"
Geo freezes at the bottom of the slide, his eyes widening in terror as the ghostly shape lets out a hollow moan that echoes across the playground.
The mist figure floats closer, its chains clinking ominously against the metal slide.
"AHHHH! Ghost! There's a real ghost here! It's coming right for me—help! It's got glowing eyes and everything!"
Geo bolts from the slide, his small legs pumping furiously, heart pounding as he dashes toward his friends.
Geo reaches Milli and Bot, panting heavily, his face pale with fear.
"Guys, you won't believe it! I was sliding down, and this huge ghost popped out—white and misty with chains dragging everywhere! It moaned like 'Oooooh' and floated right at me! I ran as fast as I could, but it's still out there!"
Milli hugs him tightly, her stretchy arms wrapping around for comfort.
Bot scans the area with his screen eyes, lights flashing in alarm mode.
"Don't worry, Geo! We're Team Umizoomi—we solve problems with UmiMath and teamwork. Tell us more: how tall was the ghost? Did it have patterns we can count?"
"Affirmative! Bot to the rescue. My sensors detect unusual fog levels. Let's use Pattern Power to figure this out together. Was it three chains or four? We can measure and trap it with math!"
Geo nods shakily, pointing with a trembling finger.
"It was super tall, like twice the slide height, and it had glowing green spots—maybe five or six. But it scared me so much, I just ran!"
Milli stretches her arms to check behind the slide, while Bot rolls ahead, scanning for clues.
"Anomaly detected! High fog, temperature drop, but no spectral energy. Friends, look—footprints in the sand lead here. They're small, like kid shoes, not ghost feet!"
"Geo, you're so brave for telling us. Together, we're unbeatable. Let's count the footprints: one, two, three... they go behind the tower!"
They spot a white sheet draped over a bush, chains from a broken swing toy nearby.
Timmy, a mischievous neighborhood kid with messy hair and a big grin, peeks out, dropping his ghost disguise.
"Surprise! It was just me, Team Umizoomi! I wanted to play a Halloween prank because I love your adventures. Sorry if I scared you, Geo—I didn't mean to make you run so fast!"
Geo laughs in relief, high-fiving everyone.
"Whew, what a fright! But thanks to my friends' help and some UmiMath, we solved the mystery. It wasn't a ghost—it was Timmy all along!"
"Yay, team! Now let's all play together—no more scares, just fun math games under the stars!"
