Geo Umizoomi and Little Bill walk together, their voices low as they share jokes and stories. Suddenly, an eerie white figure drifts out from behind a slide, glowing in the moonlight. The two freeze, eyes wide, as the ghost lets out a chilling sound.
"Geo, did you see that? Is it real?"
"I... I think so! Let's run!"
Geo Umizoomi[/@ch_1] and Little Bill sprint away from the park, breathless and terrified. Their sneakers slap against the concrete, echoing their panic.]
They rush past quiet houses, hearts pounding, barely daring to look back. The ghostly figure seems to float after them, gaining ground. Screaming, they dash toward the nearest porch, hoping for safety.
"Help! Somebody, please!"
Mrs. Jenkins[/@ch_3], a kindly neighbor with curly hair and gentle eyes.]
Geo Umizoomi and Little Bill stumble onto her porch, gasping. Mrs. Jenkins looks concerned, ushering them inside. They frantically explain what happened.
"We saw a ghost at the park! It chased us!"
"Oh my, let's calm down and figure out what's going on,"
Mrs. Jenkins[/@ch_3] hands them cocoa, encouraging them to recount every detail.]
Little Bill describes the ghost's shape and the park's mist. Geo Umizoomi remembers the sound it made. Mrs. Jenkins listens carefully, then smiles gently.
"I think I know who that ghost might be..."
Mrs. Jenkins[/@ch_3], Geo Umizoomi, and Little Bill return together.]
As they arrive, they spot Tommy, a mischievous boy dressed in a bedsheet, giggling behind the slide. His flashlight flickers as he tries to spook pigeons.
"Tommy! You scared us half to death!"
"Sorry, I just wanted to play ghost for fun,"
Geo Umizoomi and Little Bill smile, relieved the ghost was just Tommy. Mrs. Jenkins assures them it’s safe to play. The trio joins the others, their fear replaced with joy.
"Next time, let's stick to friendly games,"
"And maybe no more ghosts!"
