Lucy, a curious little girl with bright eyes and messy hair, sits up in bed, stretching her arms to greet the morning. She glances out the window, watching a butterfly flutter past, and wonders about the world outside.
"Good morning, world! I wonder who made all these amazing things,"
Grandpa Joe, Lucy's cheerful grandfather with a bushy white mustache, flips pancakes at the stove. Lucy sits at the table, her feet swinging.
"Grandpa, did you make the sun and the butterflies?"
"No, Lucy, but I know someone very special who did. God made all the wonderful things around us,"
Lucy runs through the garden, reaching out to touch a ladybug resting on a leaf. Grandpa Joe kneels nearby, planting seeds in the soil.
"How do we know God is here, Grandpa?"
"Every time we see something beautiful, feel love, or hear laughter, it’s a little sign that God is near,"
Grandpa Joe settles into the chair and opens a storybook. Lucy climbs onto his lap, ready to listen.
"Let me tell you a story, Lucy. Long ago, people wondered where God lived. Some thought in the sky, some in the sea. But everyone learned that God is everywhere!"
"So, God is with me even when I feel alone?"
"Always, Lucy. God’s love is like sunshine—it warms us, even on cloudy days,"
Lucy hands a cookie to Sammy, a shy boy with freckles. They smile at each other, feeling happy and accepted.
"Thanks, Lucy! You’re a good friend,"
"Grandpa says every act of kindness is a way to show God’s love,"
Lucy gazes up at the ceiling, thinking about all she learned.
"I’m glad God is everywhere. That means I’m never really alone,"
"That’s right, sweetheart. God loves you always, through every adventure,"
"Goodnight, God. Goodnight, Grandpa,"
