Blessedjumped out of bed, excited for the day ahead. She always looked forward to school! On her desk, her backpack sat open, waiting to be packed, not just with books and pencils, but with something even more special. First, she tucked in a little note with kind words to share with a friend. Then, she placed a smooth stone in the front pocket, a reminder to be patient, just like her mom had taught her. "Today is a new chance to show love," whispered, smiling as she zipped up her bag.
Blessed sat next to Tommy, a shy boy with glasses on his nose."Morning, Tommy! Did you see that big, fluffy cloud? It looks like a bunny, don’t you think?" Blessed asked, pointing out the window.Tommy pushed up his glasses and gave a shy smile, nodding. Blessed reached into her backpack and pulled out a small note. She handed it to him with a smile. "Here, this is for you. I thought it might make you smile today," she said. Tommy opened the note, and his face lit up when he read the simple words: "You're braver than you believe."
Blessed walked into the classroom, feeling the usual excitement in the air. Mrs. Chioma , their teacher, greeted everyone with a warm smile. Blessedsat down at her desk and looked around at her classmates." Alright, everyone," Mrs. Chioma said, "Let’s start with our gratitude journal today." Blessed took out her notebook, but before she started writing, she quietly passed a note to Deborah, who seemed a little sad. Deborahopened the note and her face lit up when she read the message: "You have a beautiful heart."
Blessedsat with her friends, her lunch tray full of food. She saw Jayden sitting by himself at a table, looking a little sad.Without thinking, Blessed grabbed an extra apple and walked over to him. "Hey, Jayden, mind if I join you?" she asked, placing the apple in front of him.Jayden shrugged, but his eyes softened when he saw the apple."You know, I think you're really good at drawing. I'd love to see more of your work sometime," Blessed said, smiling.
Blessed looked around at her classmates, feeling a sense of peace. Mrs. Chioma wrapped up the day's lessons, her voice calm and reassuring. "Let's remember, kindness is something we can choose every day," she reminded them. Blessed felt a warm glow in her chest, knowing she had done her part. "It's like carrying God's love in my backpack," she thought to herself, smiling as the bell rang.
Blessed sat by the window, watching the world go by. Her heart felt full as she thought about the day. Tommy sat quietly beside her, holding the note she had given him. "Thanks, Blessed," he said softly. "Anytime, Tommy. Remember, we're all in this together," she replied, her smile as bright as the setting sun.
