Steward, a lively boy of six with messy brown hair, clambers onto the lower bunk, his pajamas covered in rocket ships. His twin brother, Terry, already sits cross-legged, clutching a well-loved bear. Their sister, Taylor, also six, stands in her purple nightgown, stretching her arms out for a hug.
"Group hug!"
Steward wraps his arms around Terry and Taylor, his eyes shining with affection. The three press close, their faces breaking into sleepy smiles as they share warmth and comfort before sleep.
"Goodnight, Taylor. Goodnight, Steward," Terry whispers, his voice gentle and loving.
"Goodnight, Terry. Sleep tight," replies Steward, squeezing his siblings a little tighter.
"I love you both so much," Taylor murmurs, her voice trembling with affection.
"We love you too, Taylor," Terry and Steward reply together, their words a soft promise.
"See you in the morning," Steward says, voice muffled by his pillow.
"Dream sweet dreams," Taylor adds, her eyes fluttering shut.
The three children drift into sleep, their arms still faintly touching under the blankets. In the tranquil glow of the nightlight, Steward, Terry, and Taylor share a final, silent goodnight, secure in the warmth of their bond.
