Hannah sat on the couch in her dimly lit living room, the rain tapping insistently against the windows. Lightning danced across the sky, followed by the growl of thunder. She hugged her knees tightly, trying to be brave as the storm raged outside.

Suddenly, the lights flickered and went out, plunging the room into complete darkness. The familiar hum of electricity was replaced by the sound of the storm. Hannah sat still, listening to the rain and wind. She felt something soft and fluffy behind her, making her heart race. "Is it a monster?" she whispered, her voice barely audible over the storm.
