Harley Quinn stood at the entrance of the park, her vibrant outfit clashing delightfully with the fall scenery. Her eyes sparkled with mischief as she spotted little Alex, a wide-eyed boy with a mop of curly hair, who was eagerly waiting for her.
"Harley, Harley! Can we play now?"
"Of course, puddin'! Ready for the best piggyback ride ever?"
Harley Quinn sprinted forward, Alex's giggles ringing in her ears as they zigzagged around the playground. "Hold on tight, kiddo! We're goin' on an adventure!"
Alex clutched her shoulders, his face split into a grin as they dodged a group of children playing tag. "Faster, Harley, faster!"
Harley Quinn slowed to a stop, gently lowering Alex to the ground. "Here we are, the secret spot," she announced with a theatrical wave of her hand.
Alex looked around, eyes wide with wonder. "It's beautiful, Harley! Can we feed the ducks?"
Harley Quinn pulled a small bag of breadcrumbs from her pocket, handing some to Alex. "Here ya go, just don't get too close. Those quackers can be feisty!"
Alex laughed, tossing crumbs with glee as the ducks quacked appreciatively. "This is the best day ever, Harley!"
Harley Quinn lifted Alex onto her back once more, heading back through the park's winding paths. "Alright, my little sidekick, time to head home. But don't worry, we'll have plenty more adventures soon!"
Alex rested his head against her shoulder, eyes drooping with the onset of sleep. "Promise?"
"Cross my heart," Harley replied softly, as they disappeared into the golden glow of the evening.
