Harry was the happiest dog in the world. His family, however, seemed preoccupied with the mundane routines of life. Today, he decided, would be the day he'd change that.
Harry approached Sarah, the youngest member of the family, her face buried in a tablet. "Woof!" he barked, nudging a ball towards her. Sarah looked up, her eyes brightening. "You want to play fetch, Harry?" she laughed, tossing the ball across the room.
Harry sat beside Mr. Thompson, nudging his leg gently. "Not now, Harry. I've got a deadline," he muttered, not looking up. Harry's tail drooped slightly as he padded away.
Harry watched Mrs. Thompson tending her garden. An idea sparked, and he dashed inside to retrieve his favorite, slightly slobbery, chew toy. Bounding back outside, he dropped it at her feet. "Oh, Harry, you're too sweet," she chuckled, petting him affectionately.
Harry lay contentedly, surrounded by his family, their laughter filling the room. Tom, the eldest son, picked up a guitar, strumming a lively tune. "Let's sing along, everyone!" he encouraged, and soon, they were all singing, smiles on every face.
Harry had succeeded. He had brought happiness to his family, each member smiling as they drifted off to sleep. He sighed contentedly, knowing that his mission was accomplished.
