Dr. Emma[/@ch_1], Mr. Pete the Teacher, Captain Sam the Pilot, and Firefighter Mia—march together, waving to everyone.]
Dr. Emma smiles and bends down to tie a child’s shoelace, while Mr. Pete the Teacher hands out storybooks to a group of giggling kids. Captain Sam the Pilot soars a toy plane overhead, and Firefighter Mia helps a kitten out of a tree.
"Isn't it wonderful to help everyone in our town?"
"It sure is, Mr. Lee! Every day is an adventure,"
"I wouldn’t trade my job for anything,"
Pirate Patch[/@ch_5], a mischievous pirate with a feathered hat and a sly grin, leaps out with a loud laugh.]
Pirate Patch runs around causing mischief, untying balloons and pretending to steal cookies.
"Arrr! I’m here for some fun! Who dares stop Pirate Patch?"
"Oh no, it’s Pirate Patch! We have to stop him from making a mess,"
Pirate Patch[/@ch_5] through the winding park paths. The trees rustle, ducks scatter at the pond, and laughter mixes with shouts as the pirate darts away, always just out of reach.]
Captain Sam the Pilot swoops a toy plane low, hoping to distract the pirate, while Firefighter Mia gently encourages children to stay back.
"Stay behind me, everyone! This pirate is extra quick today,"
"Let’s work together and catch him before he hides again!"
Dr. Emma[/@ch_1] with her doctor’s bag, Mr. Lee with a big book, Captain Sam with paper airplanes, and Mia with a brightly colored hose. They set a friendly trap by making a pretend treasure map leading to a big, glittery “X”.]
"Pirate Patch loves treasure—maybe we can invite him to find some with us,"
"Great idea! Let’s show him how much fun it is to help, instead of causing trouble,"
"Helping does look like more fun than mischief. Maybe I can be Pirate Patch the Helper!"
"We’d love that, Patch! There’s always room for one more friend,"
"Every day is happier when we help each other,"
"And even pirates can be heroes, too,"
"Arrr! I like being a helper more than running away,"
