Humpty Dumpty sits atop the highest part of the wall, his shell gleaming in the golden light. Nearby, a castle looms in the distance, its banners fluttering gently. Laughter echoes faintly from children playing on the other side of the meadow, but he seems lost in thought, swinging his legs and humming a quiet tune.
Humpty Dumpty shifts his weight and loses balance. "Oh, dear—I don’t feel so steady!" In a flurry of motion, he topples from the wall, tumbling head over heels. The sharp crack of his shell meeting stone shatters the morning calm, and he lands in a heap at the base of the wall, fragments of shell glinting in the grass.
Knights in shining armor leap from their horses, surrounding Humpty Dumpty with concern. Sergeant Bram, the captain of the guard, kneels beside him, inspecting the damage. "Steady now, lads, let’s see if we can help our friend," he instructs, as the King’s men gather tools, bandages, and worried glances.
Humpty Dumpty watches anxiously from the ground, his yolk glistening with a single tear. "Will I ever be whole again?" The men sigh, shaking their heads as each attempt unravels. Even the cleverest horse, adorned with a feathered cap, tries balancing pieces with his nose, but the shell refuses to stay together.
Cass[/@ch_3] emerges from the watching crowd, her eyes bright with determination and kindness.]
Cass approaches quietly, cradling a basket of herbs and honey. "Sometimes, all you need is a little patience and something sweet," she says, mixing her ingredients and layering them tenderly over Humpty Dumpty's cracks. The King's men and horses watch in awe as the mixture sets—strong but gentle—and the shell begins to mend.
Humpty Dumpty[/@ch_1], who now sits upright, his shell smooth once more and his smile wide.]
"Thank you, Cass, and all of you for not giving up," he beams, standing tall. The King’s men and horses cheer, and even the birds seem to sing more brightly. As laughter and music fill the air, Humpty Dumpty climbs back onto the wall—this time, with friends beside him and a heart full of gratitude.
