Jasleen sat on the porch steps, her small fingers tracing the letters of a well-worn book. Beside her, her two dogs, Raja and Tiger, lay sprawled out, their tails wagging lazily. "Today, we're going to learn something new!" she said with determination, looking at her faithful companions.
Jasleen placed the book on the floor, her fingers pointing to each letter as she sounded them out. Raja and Tiger watched intently, their heads cocking to the side as if absorbing every syllable. "A is for apple," she said, and "B is for ball," chirped Jasleen, giving each dog a friendly pat.
Jasleen dashed outside, her laughter echoing as Raja and Tiger bounded after her with enthusiasm. "Catch me if you can!" she giggled, weaving through the flowers. The dogs barked playfully, their energy infectious as they tumbled together in a joyful heap.
Jasleen lay on a blanket under the shade of the mango tree, her book resting on her chest. Raja and Tiger curled up beside her, their rhythmic breathing a soothing lullaby. "We'll read more after our nap," she whispered, closing her eyes as the gentle rustle of leaves lulled them all to sleep.
Jasleen awoke, feeling rejuvenated. She picked up her book, eager to continue her adventure. Raja and Tiger perked up, ready to join in. "Let's find out what C stands for," she said, her eyes sparkling with curiosity.
Jasleen sat cross-legged on her bed, her book open on her lap. Raja and Tiger lay at her feet, their eyes drooping with contentment. "Thank you for helping me learn today," she murmured, stroking their soft fur. As she drifted off to sleep, she dreamed of the adventures that awaited them all in the pages of her books.
