Jemma clutched her boarding pass, her eyes sparkling with excitement. Kase adjusted his backpack while LaLa bounced on her toes, her excitement hard to hide. "I can’t believe we’re going to see Aunt Jess and all the Disney Princesses!" LaLa peeked out the window, her nose pressed to the glass. "Look at those clouds," she said dreamily. "They look like cotton candy!" Kase played a game on his phone, glancing up now and then to look outside.
As the plane landed, Kase grabbed his suitcase. Jemma spotted someone and waved wildly. "Aunt Jess! We’ve missed you so much!" she called. The airport was filled with the sweet scent of anticipation, and the buzz of joyful reunions echoed around them.
At the park, Jemma darted from ride to ride, her laughter filling the air. Kase watched the parade with wide eyes, while LaLa snapped pictures of every magical moment. "This place is like a dream come true!" LaLa said, smiling from ear to ear.
But then the sky turned gray. Rain poured down, and Jemma’s rainboots filled with water. She cried big, fat tears. Kase gave a little shrug. "Hey, a little rain won’t stop us, right?" "Let’s take a break and go get dry," said LaLa kindly.
The next morning, Aunt Jess and her boyfriend Greg called into the hotel room. "The sun is shining, and it’s going to be a beautiful day!" said Greg. "I heard some princesses were looking for you, Jemma!"
Jemma, Kase, and LaLa spent the whole day laughing, dancing, and exploring. By the end of the day, they were all tuckered out. "It was a perfect day," said Jemma with a sleepy smile. "It was pretty awesome, wasn’t it?" Kase added. "Yes," Jemma said. "It rained on our parade yesterday… but today was a new day—and it was perfect."
