Lily, a curious little girl with curly hair, sits cross-legged with her Bible open on her lap. She traces her finger over the pages, eyes wide with wonder. "I wonder what promises Jesus made for kids like me," she whispers, looking at the sunlight sparkling on her pages.
Grandpa Joe, a kind older man with twinkling eyes, kneels beside Lily as she explores the garden. He carries a well-loved Bible tucked under his arm. "Did you know, Lily, that Jesus promised to always love us, no matter what?""Even if I make mistakes?""Especially then! His love never ends," Grandpa Joe replies, smiling as a butterfly lands softly on his hand.
Lily breaks bread with her little brother, Max, whose cheeks are dusted with flour. They laugh as honey drips onto their fingers. "What else did Jesus promise, Grandpa?""He promised to always be with us, wherever we go," Grandpa Joe answers, pouring milk into their cups. "When you’re scared at night or trying something new, He’s right there in your heart."
Lily hugs her favorite stuffed bear, pulling the blanket close. Her eyes are wide, but she remembers Grandpa’s words. "Jesus, you promised to be with me. Please help me feel safe tonight," she whispers into the quiet, her fears gently fading.
Lily and Max race outside, Grandpa right behind them. They gaze up in awe, the garden sparkling with dewdrops. "Jesus promised hope and new beginnings, just like this rainbow," Grandpa says, putting his arms around them. "No matter what happens, He’s always with us, loving and guiding us every day."
Lily snuggles under her covers, Max already fast asleep beside her. She closes her eyes, her heart full of peace. "Thank you, Jesus, for keeping your promises to love me, stay with me, and give me hope," she whispers, drifting into sweet dreams, knowing she is never alone. Jesus smiles down at the family and says "Always".
