Joe Bartolozzi stood in the middle of the farmyard, his slicked-back blonde hair shining in the sunlight. He looked at Bessie, who was munching on grass, her coat a bit muddied from a playful morning romp. "Alright, Bessie, it's bath time!"
Joe started with a big bottle of bubble bath. He poured some onto a sponge and tried to scrub Bessie's back. "Look at all these bubbles, Bessie!" he giggled. But no matter how hard he scrubbed, the mud didn't budge.
Joe tried a different soap, then another gadget, even a big brush. "Hmm, maybe this one will work," he thought, but none of them seemed to do the trick.
Joe sat down on a hay bale, pondering what to do next. Just then, his playful dog, Maggie, ran over to him, barking and jumping excitedly. "What is it, Maggie? Do you have an idea?"
Joe suddenly had an idea. "The hose! That's it!" With Maggie bouncing along beside him, he turned on the hose, and a gentle stream of water splashed over Bessie. The mud began to wash away, revealing her shiny coat underneath.
Joe laughed as Bessie shook herself dry, sending droplets everywhere. "We did it, Maggie! Bessie's all clean!" Maggie barked happily, and Joe gave her a big hug. It had been a fun adventure, and together, they had succeeded.
